Today, we’re clearing up some of the most common misunderstandings about Payworks. For the straight goods on our service and features (and to hear from just a handful of the 40,000+ clients who rely on both!), read on.

Smooth onboarding and unlimited, dedicated service

They’ve said: “Payworks manages multiple implementations at the same time, leading to gaps… and customer support is limited, including difficulty reaching a service rep and long response times.”

Uhhh, pardon me? Let’s clear things up!

It’s true that we’re often onboarding multiple clients at once (over 4,000 a year, in fact!). But that’s why we’ve got the process down to a science, led by your very own dedicated Implementation Specialist. They’re certainly not afraid of a little multi-tasking, and are happy to get you up and running both quickly and accurately. And they’re with you every step of the way, including through your first payroll run, first payment date and the monitoring in between, to ensure you’re on the right track and set up for success – no loose ends left untied.

They’re also the one who’ll introduce you to your organization’s new “team member” – your dedicated Client Service Representative (CSR). Whether you have one employee or thousands, we think you deserve the best and will assign a CSR to your account. Your calls will be answered in under 60 seconds by a human, not a machine. And if your CSR is away on a well-deserved vacation, their team’s happy to fill in (just like you do for your own crew!). Our fan-favourite Help Centre is also available to all clients 24/7, and is practically bursting with resources and FAQs to help you solve even your latest-night workforce management dilemmas.

After all, your people expect on-the-go, anytime access – and Payworks is happy to deliver! Your team can conveniently and securely access their pay stubs and tax forms, check their schedules and available shifts, submit time off requests, adjust their personal info and more.

Bonus: this also frees you from sifting through a mountain of their sticky notes, emails and texts, and prevents any potential errors – no rekeying; no mistakes; one system of record. Sounds like a win-win, yes?

Right person, right place, right time: super-simple scheduling and time tracking

Say whaaaat? Let’s clear things up!

Our clients will be the first to tell you – Payworks’ Time Management solution actually makes time tracking and scheduling ultra-simple for both employee and employer (especially when integrated with Absence Management!). Our super-intuitive scheduler does indeed allow you to drag/drop and colour code, configure holiday calendars, view hours summaries (by scheduled shifts, employees, day and configurable views), leverage templates, create a draft as you go, and publish/unpublish at your convenience – after all, we know how quickly things can change.

It offers employee availability tracking and alerts you when shift assignments are in conflict with employee availability (or other snags that might slow down the process of creating a great schedule) to take some of the load off your shoulders. And if there are shifts to be reassigned, you can kickstart the process at the same time that you’re approving Time Off Requests by making shifts available in the “shift marketplace” (which your team can pick up in ESS). Time saved and hassle reduced: checkmark.

Statutory holiday pay calculations are a breeze thanks to the calculator built right into our Time Management solution. Payworks leverages the same data used for processing payroll or approving timesheets, so our clients don’t have to consult a third party calculator or re-enter data.

Reporting can be simple and quick with our standard and configurable reporting options. And our interactive year-end checklists (and the fact that we can file directly to CRA/MRQ on our clients’ behalves) take some of the stress out of the busiest time of year. On top of it all, we play well with others, offering journal entry integrations for QuickBooks Online and other accounting solutions to eliminate rekeying errors and save a whole lot of time.
