
How we use it & why you’ll love it: multi-account sign-on
This past year, we rolled out a new email login method along with expanded authentication options—all designed to make accessing and managing multiple accounts both easier and more secure for our clients and their teams.
At Payworks, we proudly sip our own champagne, using the same streamlined login and enhanced security features every day across both our personal and admin accounts. We’re not just building it; we’re benefiting from it, too.
Here’s what our team has to say about the improved login experience…
…when it comes to easy-to-remember login credentials
We’ve made logging into the Payworks system simpler and more user-friendly. Instead of using a unique Client ID and Username for each account, users can now log into all of their accounts with an email address and password. These simplified credentials are not only easier to remember; they also give users more control by empowering them to initiate their own password reset directly from the login page. No administrator intervention required!
“Gone are the days of having to remember multiple logins – YAY!” says Payworks Business Operations Team Lead Norah Hidara.
“Not having to login using different credentials is a huge win. I love just using my email to access all accounts,” says Payworks Client Training Team Leader Cindy Gendron.
…when it comes to managing multiple accounts
Our people leaders are especially excited about this update. Between fielding their teams’ requests and keeping on top of their own employee and pay information, there’s lots to juggle! Multi-tasking is the name of the game, so anything that makes jumping between tasks more efficient is sure to make a big impact. The new email login makes it easier than ever to manage both accounts. Those with admin and personal accounts – or multiple admin accounts – can simply sign in with one login and securely toggle between them as needed!
“As a leader at Payworks, the introduction of the new login has made it so much easier for me to flip between my personal and admin accounts,” says Norah. “No matter what I need to do within Payworks, I can do so with ease – whether it’s submitting my own Time Off Request or approving a team member’s, or keeping tabs on an active job posting.”
“The new login method has been helpful when I need to quickly switch from my admin account to my personal account to submit documents and see what my page looks like from an employee’s perspective,” says Payworks HR Administrator Sheena Judt.
“It makes logging in a lot easier since I only have one user ID to remember, and both admin and personal options pop up on my main screen in one convenient place,” says Payworks Controller Adam Owczar. “The handy drop down menu makes switching between profiles easy.”
…when it comes to staying secure
The new login method also comes with an extra layer of security, with mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA) on all accounts that have admin access. Admin users now have the option of verifying their account access by way of authenticator app or text message (or both!).
“The text message 2FA is a dream,” says Cassie Hamer, Payworks Sales Manager. “It’s such a simple upgrade that makes a huge difference.”
“This is the next evolution of Payworks’ application authentication services,” says Payworks Information Security Manager Daniel Dallmann. “It provides robust support for single sign-on capabilities for our customers, simplifies the login process, and sets the foundation for future identity and access management enhancements."
