We get it – there are so many wonderful Canadian businesses where you can choose to build your career (many of which are clients and partners of ours, incidentally!), and it can be hard to know what life is really like at any of them. That’s why our team’s here to share with you – in their own words – a few slices of life at Payworks.
You know that special glow-y feeling you get when you know you’ve made a positive difference in someone’s day? Studies show that it’s just one of many reasons why volunteering your time and resources isn’t just good for your community – it’s good for you as well!
At Payworks, our purpose is “doing right by people:” our clients, our colleagues and our communities. This purpose is our guidepost and mirror when making decisions – big and small, internal and external, client-facing and community-facing. And it also helps us to attract and retain folks for whom this purpose resonates at their core.

Payworks’ Pay it Forward (PIF) program has been empowering our employees to make a difference in their communities since 2015. Each team member receives two paid days off to volunteer their time and expertise with an organization that’s meaningful to them! They can volunteer solo or alongside their work besties, making memories and a positive impact along the way.
We’re also honoured to pay our success forward, proudly supporting over 200 organizations across Canada as sponsors of grassroots events or of major initiatives that will make our communities stronger, healthier and more equitable.
These values are similarly upheld by opportunities offered through our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee, led by Payworks’ Manager of DEIB and Talent Acquisition. We’re an employer partner of the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), and are pleased to offer plenty of moments for important education, open dialogue and engaging experiences throughout the year.
