Today may mark the start of this year’s annual Smile Cookie Week, but the folks at Tim Hortons put a grin on our faces all year long (and not just when we start the day with our standard double-double)!

We’re proud not only to count Tim Hortons franchises across the country among our valued clients, but also to join them in serving the community as a partner of Tim Hortons® Foundation Camps (Tims Camps) since 2014.

This year marks Tim Hortons’ 60th anniversary, and ever since they first opened their doors, “the intention was to create a place where anyone could go at any time and feel at home.” Since then, they’ve paid their success forward – at home and across the world. Tims for Good is “a platform focused on building a more sustainable path forward through three lead commitments: to people and communities, to the planet, and to food and beverage quality.”

For us, this just means more opportunities to give back together!

Since the inception of our Pay it Forward (PIF) program – where all staff receive two paid days off to volunteer for an organization of their choosing – Camp Day has been a Payworks staff fan favourite as a great place to spend a PIF day. All proceeds from Camp Day support Tims Camps in “bringing the power of camp to a new generation.” On their PIF days, our folks from coast to coast provide in-store support at Tim Hortons locations in their local communities, helping to spread the word about Tims Camps and encourage donations.

Those summer vibes keep glowing at Tims Camps golf tournaments across Canada, where our teams are excited to hit the links in support of this excellent cause. Keep an eye out for us as a Diamond sponsor of the Atlantic Golf Invitational in Wallace, NS this August!

And of course, who could forget Smile Cookie Day? Every year at Tim Hortons, “100% of proceeds of our chocolate chunk cookies, hand decorated with smiles, are donated to local charities chosen by Tim Hortons restaurants.” Needless to say, Smile Cookie Day is a perfect fit for our crew (who loves to give back and also has never been known to turn down a li’l snack), so we’re always game to treat the team.
