For over 35 years, Metropolitan Hospitality Management (MHM) has been “committed to sustainability and responsible tourism,” serving Western Canada as “a premier owner, operator and developer of a portfolio of properties… that consists of full service hotels, restaurants, and residential and commercial properties.”

In addition to their in-house team of 15+, they also manage an ever-changing and consistently-growing team of over 200 hotel, restaurant and retail staff all across British Columbia.

As MHM has grown over the years, so has the complexity of their accounting and payroll needs, as each property within their portfolio is a distinct legal entity with a unique ownership and operational structure.

Given that many of their properties are within the hospitality sector, MHM also manages a tremendous amount of seasonal employee onboarding – which means that every payroll run is likely to reflect a slightly different crew than the one before it!
