Earlier this year, Cher Schaefer, Head Bookkeeper and Owner of Now Bookkeeping Ltd., was announced as the 2024 grand prize winner and was excited to select Canada’s CPB Ignite Conference on our home turf in Winnipeg.
Cher’s a dedicated bookkeeper with a growing client list and a knack for turning her analysis of your needs into a plan that suits your business. She’s been in the accounting industry since 2003, having started with bookkeeping as a side hustle while handling payroll and accounts payable within the mining industry. Almost 10 years ago, Cher identified a need for bookkeeping in the Okanagan Valley, and from there NOW Bookkeeping Ltd. was born! From one employee to now five (and still growing!), they now have a dedicated payroll department and a focus on full cycle bookkeeping.

We were eager to welcome Full Circle Rewards grand prize winner Cher and her guest (bookkeeping colleague and long-time friend, Jennifer Stanley) to Winnipeg in early September. Throughout the week, Cher and Jennifer had the opportunity to not only take in the CPB conference, but also enjoy a few local restaurants while topping off a busy week of learning at Winnipeg’s own Nordik Spa - Thermea! After all, when you’re spending most days focusing on other people’s expenses and making sure everything is in order, it’s important for to take time to rest and unwind.
“The whole Full Circle experience leading up to the conference was easy,” says Cher. “I don’t have time to plan, and the process was so effortless. It was a few emails, a little bit of correspondence and that was it. Payworks took care of everything!”
