It may have been a chilly day in Manitoba on October 2, but volunteering at NorWest Co-op Community Food Centre warmed the hearts of our staff as they worked in the Community Garden to Pay it Forward.
Norwest Co-op Community Food Centre is a multi-faceted, integrated, responsive, and prevention focused program located in Winnipeg. They provide a wide range of health-related services including a free healthy meal program, cooking groups and classes, community gardens, low cost food market, healthy eating information sessions, and (much) more. Recognizing the effect that lifestyle, access to resources and income have on the health of individuals and families within our community.
