Uniting across shared values by supporting a local charitable organization – is there a stronger team-building activity out there?!
Payworks’ Pay it Forward (PIF) Day employee benefit empowers our staff by allowing them two paid days off per calendar year to donate their time and talents to the organizations that mean the most to them. PIF Days are not only a great way to make a positive impact in our communities; they also give all the warm fuzzies to those who use the opportunity as a team building experience.
In Winnipeg, several of our leaders recently joined together for a PIF Day at NorWest Co-op Community Health, whose mission is “to engage our community in cooperative health and wellness.” NorWest offers a wide breadth of primary health care, counselling, social supports, food and nutrition assistance, pregnancy and parenting programming, and much more.
“We have a Pay it Forward program because fundamentally, we have one purpose as a company,” says Payworks President & CEO JP Perron who participated in the NorWest PIF Day experience. “The reason we exist is to ‘Do Right by People.’”

Since our PIF Day program began in late 2015, our staff have clocked more than 4,425 hours of giving back. We’re proud to have created a workplace where experiences can be shared and employees are encouraged to Pay it Forward in their own ways.
