Payworks pro tip: process payroll three business days in advance of an employee’s payment date. This can make payroll schedules in December and January a bit tricky, taking into consideration weekends and the number of banking holidays in late December. At that time of the year, it could mean payroll is being processed anywhere from three to six days in advance of an employee’s payment date.
