Important payroll processing and delivery dates for 2022: Mark your calendar
Originally published on December 8, 2021
December is here and that means payroll administrators are starting to think about how payroll schedules will be impacted by the upcoming statutory holiday schedule.
Between year-end payroll preparation, staying on top of new legislation, and personal commitments, the holiday season can be hectic! That's why we've created an at-a-glance reference chart outlining the payment processing dates for December 2022 and January 2023, accounting for all statutory holidays that impact payroll.
Best practice tip: we recommend processing payroll three business days in advance of an employee's payment date. This can make payroll schedules in December and January a bit tricky, taking into consideration weekends and the number of banking holidays in late December. It could mean admins are processing payroll anywhere from three to six days in advance of an employee's payment date.
