National United Way Campaign Raises $275,000!

Payworks goal was to raise $235,000 during our National United Way Workplace Campaign this year, and we beat that by 17% - an astonishing 37.5% increase over last year. To put it in perspective, Payworks raised $275,000 through employee contributions, which is essentially enough money to purchase a home!

Looking at the participation percentages across all offices, we again saw overwhelming generosity from Payworks people: 84% in Winnipeg and 70% in the regions for a grand total of 80%. Leadership donations also blew away all expectations with 48 staff members each contributing $1,200+ in 2018.

“I’m blown away by the participation rate. It’s indicative of a workplace that cares,” said Barb Gamey. “We try to provide opportunities to connect with the many United Way-supported agencies because it’s important to see where your donations go, whether that be your time, talent, or dollars. It’s clear from the participation rate that the Payworks team from coast to coast understands that everything makes a difference, whether it’s $1 per pay period or $1 a day. The level of participation of our staff is incredible. This year’s increased rate is just remarkable, and something we should all be so proud of.”

Together, we can accomplish wonderful things.
