This past Sunday, June 16, was the annual Manitoba Marathon in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Hosted by Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries, the event is a Father's Day celebration of fitness, family, and fundraising with the proceeds supporting projects for people living with an intellectual disability.

There are a number of different ways one can participate in the Manitoba Marathon. There are a lot of event categories from a full or half marathon, to a relay, 10km, Super Run, as well as a Mini and Mighty Mites for those 8 and under. There's also the option to volunteer at the event itself which is what six Payworks staff decided to take the time out of their personal schedules to do this past Father's Day.

Payworks was proud to be the Hospitality Sponsor at this year's Manitoba Marathon. As part of our sponsorship we had a group of volunteers at Mile 21's Hospitality Station. Client Service Representatives Margaret Windsor and Adrianne Choy, Systems Developer Jason Xu, Product Manager Steve Bestvater, Information Security Analyst Ernest Anamalu, as well as Manager, Implementation Kirsty Stevens handed out water to runners along route as well as assisted with tasks at the Hospitality Station in any way they could.
