One of Canada's Best Managed Companies for sixth straight year
Payworks is proud to have been recognized once again for excellence in business performance as it maintains its status as a Best Managed Gold Standard company. The Best Managed program recognizes the best-in-class of Canadian owned and managed companies, demonstrating strategy, capability, and commitment to achieve sustainable growth. Payworks has sustained its Best Managed status since first being named a winner in 2012.
“We are honoured to have achieved the Gold Standard level of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program once again in 2018,” said JP Perron, President of Payworks. “It is through our team’s hard work and dedication to providing innovative solutions and world-class service, and through the continued support of our partners and clients, that we have maintained this prestigious designation for six consecutive years.”
Payworks’ growth and success are in large part due to its proprietary suite of online workforce management solutions, which are supported by Payworks’ customer-centric service philosophy and purpose of “Doing right by people.” Payworks has created a culture that emphasizes collaboration and innovation, and encourages community involvement and cultivating long-lasting relationships with clients.
Now in its 25th year, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, world-class business practices. Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel made up of judges from Deloitte, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business, TMX Group and MacKay CEO Forums. 2018 Best Managed companies share commonalities that include a clear strategy and vision, investment in capability and commitment to talent.
“Being amongst the best in class requires more than financial performance,” said Lorrie King, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “Achieving sustained growth and strong overall business performance is the result of the combined efforts and commitment of the entire organization.”
Since the program’s inception in 1993, over 1,100 companies have been recognized, with 453 companies in the current network of winners. The Best Managed designation has become an international symbol of excellence, with active programs in Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Belgium, Chile, and Italy (with additional countries launching in the near future).
