December is right around the corner, and that means that payroll administrators might be wondering how their payroll schedules could be affected by the upcoming statutory holiday schedule.

The recommended best practice is to process payroll three business days in advance of your employee's payment date. Taking into consideration weekends and banking holidays, that's where the stat holiday schedule comes into play. It could mean processing payroll anywhere from three to even six days in advance of the employee's payment date. 

With that in mind, and knowing that the holiday season can be hectic between personal commitments and year-end preparation, Payworks has put together an at-a-glance reference chart which outlines the payment processing dates for December, accounting for all stat holidays:
